Manzamo dates back to the Ryukyu era, when the King of Ryukyu saw this giant rock and proclaimed "I bet it can seat ten thousand people!" Manzamo 万座毛 is a literal translation of Ten Thousand Seats. This captivating rock, quietly lying at Onna village, wouldn't be the tourist-filled area it is today without the King's vision, and the storytellers that kept it alive over the years. Art gives life to stories, and stories give life to art. This poster is a result of the King's imaginative spirit, passed down through the ages and into our hands. Now, it's in your eyes.
